I found a dresser yesterday at a yard sale for $5, heavy heavy wood and in decent shape. 2 issues.
One - should it be a "dresser" or should it be a buffet for the dining room? The top drawer is separated into 3 compartments that reminded me of a silverware drawer.
Two - I noticed a plate inside from Davis Cabinet Company and this thing appears to be my 1st yard sale gold mine. It's retired. The company only has 2 lines still in production and I couldn't find this piece any where. Should I rehab the color or leave it and try and get it appraised from the company - which they offer on their website?

Thanks
I also found those goodies on top for $1 each. I LOVE it when people don't know what they are getting rid of!

Try to get it appraised and then redo if needed. It's a great piece.
What a lucky find! Definitely get it appraised if you can. It's beautiful!
Wow, it really is a nice looking piece. I would leave it as a dresser. Very nice find! Thanks for sharing!
I think it's only worth something if you can find a buyer willing to pay! :)
Make into what you want. I think making a buffet out of it sounds great....I'd love to see it a different color! :)
